Fat Guys feed NascarPutting in on the line at Dover Downs
Fat guys feed Nascar Kelly Housen 5/31/2006 THEY'VE TAUGHT KELLY ABOUT SAUCE AND ROB ABOUT WINGS, AND NOW THEY'RE PUTTING IT ON THE LINE AT DOVER DOWNS For those of you who don't remember previous Spark articles (and shame on you), the fat guys are Jeff Cook and Tom Craft, owners of the 2 Fat Guys American Grill in Hockessin. You've seen them teach me how to make an awesome root beer barbecue sauce and take Rob through the wonderful world of chicken wings. Now, they're taking on NASCAR. The NASCAR idea started when the guys were sitting in their bar watching the Daytona 500. Jeff saw an unsponsored car and started asking a friend about what's involved in becoming a sponsor. Turns out, his friend knew a guy who had a truck in need of some sponsoring, and one thing leading to another, the 2 Fat Guys are now one of the sponsors of the Key Motorsports No. 40 Chevrolet Silverado race truck. They're heading down to Dover Downs on Thursday to watch the qualifying race and feed the entire team of the No. 40. If the truck make it, they'll be back and feeding the team again in the race on Friday. There might even be a few NASCAR officials noshing on their burgers and ribs. Watch the qualifier on Friday, June 2 on the Speed channel at 8 p.m. (You probably get the Speed channel. You just don't know it.) Keep an eye out for that 2 Fat Guys logo and catering truck. And if you're down there (brave souls), find Jeff and Tom and tell them Spark says hello orem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
